Ithra Material Library

Designed by IAMMI, Ithra’s Materials Library is a pioneering space dedicated to material exploration, innovation, and knowledge sharing. Developed in collaboration with Colab for the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Saudi), the library presents a curated collection of 210 innovative and responsible materials, creating a platform for designers, researchers, and creatives to discover new approaches to material development.
The architectural language of the library reflects IAMMI’s vision of creating meaningful dialogues between technology, nature, and culture. Through the combination of two contrasting yet complementary materials, AeroGraph™, a graphene-reinforced glass polymer network composite, and Desert Board PSB®, a locally developed material made from palm waste, IAMMI explored the potential of advanced and bio-based materials within a modular and tactile environment.
The project embodies IAMMI’s approach to design: transforming material innovation into spatial experiences that inspire curiosity, foster experimentation, and redefine the relationship between materials and their applications.
